It is with great sadness that we share the news that James
Reed, president of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Fulbright Association, has
passed away. Jim was a visionary leader who was deeply committed to the
Fulbright mission. We share our grief at his passing with his wife Deborah
Addis, his many colleagues, friends, and students, and the entire Fulbright
community. A complete notice can be found at http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/bostonglobe/obituary.aspx?n=james-eldin-reed&pid=157148982

Visiting Scholars from overseas are a key part of the community served by the Massachusetts Fulbright Association. A number of our programs are specifically targeted to their interests. Moreover, a number of our Board members have themselves served as Visiting Scholars at overseas universities, in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and elsewhere.
Programming for Visiting Scholars is also offered by the Boston Fulbright Committee, Inc., Mary Rose Bolton, Coordinator. See email below for their spring programming.

Dear Fulbright Scholars,
I am delighted that so many of you will attend our dinner meeting at the Harvard Faculty Club on Thursday, January 26 at 7 p.m. Sadly, I will not be there as I have to be in Hong Kong. Our president, Dr. Paul Russell, and several Directors and friends of the program will be your hosts.
Please note the following dates:
Wednesday, February 15 at six o'clock at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. You will receive an invitation directly from the Academy.
Wednesday, March 21 at six o'clock at the Museum of Fine Arts — a tour followed by dinner. An invitation will follow.
Sunday, March 25 from 3-5 p.m. An Afternoon of music in the Eliot House Library, Harvard University.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you play an instrument or sing and would be willing to perform in the annual Fulbright concert.
We look forward to seeing you and your spouse or guest at these and other events we are organizing.
With all good wishes,
Sincerely,
Mary Rose
